Popular Questions About Shutters

Got a question about shutters? Our industry experts are here to help.

  • Can I choose my own colour for my shutter?

We are able to supply custom colours using the palettes of either Dulux, Farrow and Ball or the Little Greene paint company.

  • Do I have to have the tilt rod on the panels?

No, there are other options for opening and closing the louvres. Clearview or easy tilt where the rods are not visible.

  • Will shutters make the room dark?

Depending on the colour and louvre size you choose, they will not make the room feel dark.

  • How long does it take to install shutters?

A Shutter installation can vary depending on the size or number of the Shutters being fitted, we would advise the customer when surveying approximately how long the install will take.

  • What maintenance is required for shutters?

Shutters require very little maintenance, as they are easy to clean. The best way to dust shutters is the dust the top, bottom and side of each slat with a dry or microfibre cloth. Shutters that are in areas where they are likely to be more prone to mess, such as a kitchen sink or fingerprints in a child play room are simple to clean using a very slightly damp cloth and then dried off with a clean cloth.
